What I felt was really cool about the app was the shop feature. When you choose a topic, the lessons asks you to find a matching photo for the words, and to listen and translate words. There are themes available to choose from such as “basics, phrases, animals, food” and more.

Once you’re logged in you choose what language you want to pursue in and the game begins. To use the app you must first register with your email, but there is no fee or money required to use the app. It is also available for computers. The product claims to help you learn different languages freely through their program. The app is available on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Android, Chromebook, Kindle Fire, Nook HD and Windows Phone. This product looks very useful for people interesting in knowing different languages. I would totally recommend this app if you're a beginner language learner who doesn't mind its simplicity and basic layout. When you fill the green bar at the top of the screen, it'll finish the language practice with a high five and send you to the main page.

The progression is easy enough to encourage newbies to keep trying and get the free heart points to continue learning.Īs you get better at the game, the difficulty level increases but in an encouraging way where if you get an answer wrong, it'll give you a report on the correct answer and lets you continue on. It has a default pronunciation in regular speed and it has a turtle option to slow it down.
DUOLINGO APP SWITCH LANGUAGE FULL
It starts out with simple phrases of two words and works up to putting those words into a full sentence. I chose the casual 5 minute daily practice and it was great. Once you're in the program, you can choose the language you want to learn and it gives you options on how often you want to practice everyday (e.g.5, 10, 20 mins., or etc.). You can opt in or out to purchase the app or use it for free. The set up to get the app is fairly simple-choose an email and username or use your Facebook or Google account to log in. I like how it's visually easy to look at with no distractions from any advertisements (I chose the free version) or busy backgrounds to keep you from the main task at hand. This language learning app is great for beginners and anyone wanting to get a basic grasp of a new language.
